Maréchal et Rahner. Portraits contrastés

Bernard Pottier s.j.
Do Maréchal, Rahner and Balthasar consider different things or do they consider the same thing differently? Each of them develops specific centres of interest, with which the other is not unfamiliar. Each of them follows his own method, even if both respect the same laws of knowledge. Rahner, who has been acquainted with Maréchal's work at an early stage of his own research, has not failed to be inspired by it: the minds of the two thinkers, in spite of their evident singularity, were in some way congenial.
