NRT 139/1 (2017) p. 30-43
Author : Alexis LEPROUX
The apostolic exhortation Verbum Domini (2010) presents a real advance in biblical hermeneutics: it presents ecclesial communion as the first and ultimate criterion of the fulfilment of the Scriptures; it assumes the unity of the Scriptures in Christological interpretation; it picks up the distinction of the four senses in the transition from the letter to the spirit. From the life of the Spirit in the Church there flows the foundational procedure from the life of the Book in the Church.
Keywords : biblical hermeneutics | Verbum Domini | fulfilment | Henri de Lubac (1896-1991)
