All along the XXth century, various commentators of the book of Revelation have foretold the imminence of the battle of Harmagedôn (Ap 16,16). Analysing the literary and historical context of the three passages of the book that allude to the battle, the present author argues that this ultimate struggle against the forces of evil has already taken place in Christ's death and resurrection. Christians are now called to let Christ's victory spread its effects, through their faithfulness in faith and in the strenght of the divine Word.
