Spiritual schools abound in the Church. Some of them are at the origin of a specific conception of theology. The Ignatian way can be defined as discernment of authentic life. The A. comments on the various terms of this theological approach secundum societatem Iesu, initiating his search from the foundation-texts and relying on an analysis of the present situation of human and spiritual experience in postmodern societies. In so doing, he emphasizes the intrinsic link between an original means of looking at the Gospel and a manner of conceiving the unity of theological work through the variety of disciplines.
