Christology is the language to which the Church resorts when she acknowledges the revelation by which Christ manifests himself: he is the Son of the Father, the Word of God in which men and women have access to life. The A. studies the way in which the philosophical work of M. Henry C'est moi la Vérité is a contribution to Christology. A previous book, L'essence de la manifestation, has shown how the invisible embrace of life by the living is the original logos, anterior to any exteriorisation of the language which it makes possible. This radical phenomenology perceives in the words of the Scripture the very word of Christ himself, «first-born of all creatures, first-born from among the dead».
