This article examines the question of the healing of memories, and, especially, of hurts received in the womb. It asks whether it is possible to provide a philosophical account of prenatal life, a life including elements of the senses and of the psyche. The article proposes certain theological and pastoral criteria which would be necessary to preserve a proper understanding of these hurts and to seek appropriately the grace of their healing.
