Jean de la Croix et Ignace de Loyola I

Pierre Gervais s.j.
While sharing the same perception of the relationship between the divine liberty and human liberty, John of the Cross and Ignatius of Loyola differ in their way of articulating the order of creation in the interior of the relation of the soul with God. The article rereads the great works of John of the Cross in the light of the Exercises of Saint Ignatius, and shows how these works in return bring light to the spiritual logic of the Exercises.
