The Star of Redemption, whose author, the Jewish German philosopher Frans Rosenzweig wavered a long time between Judaism and Christianity before finally deciding to remain a Jew, constitutes an important reference in Judaeo-Christian dialogue. After having sketched the essentials of Rosenzweig's philosophy, the article exposes his position on the matter of such Judaeo-Christian dialogue. It then critically examines the two main affirmations of his work: the Jews and the Christian differently live eternity in time; the absolute Truth splits itself into two relative truths, both equally necessary, Judaism and Christianity.
