This article deals with the theological meaning of Eucharistic worship. The argument is the following: on the one hand, the adoration of the Eucharist cannot be considered independently from the Mass, in which we listen to God's Word and the Eucharistic Act of Christ is made present; on the other hand, the remembrance of what Jesus performed at the Last Supper, leads to the adoration of his real eschatological presence in the consecrated bread beyond the moment of the Eucharistic celebration.
