An accurate comparison between the problematic of this Epistle and that of the great Epistles of Paul, teamed with a careful scrutiny of their respective vocabulary, leads the A. to the conviction that Jc must be dated later than 1 Co and earlier than Ga and Rm. The A. concludes that Jc has been written in 56 and that, by that time, the paulinian communities knew who were the «presbyters of the Church» mentioned in Jc 5, 14.
