In Erich Przywara's philosophical system, the analogia entis is not only a metaphysical principle, but the very rhythm of being and thought inasmuch as it respects its creatural character and affirms God's transcendence. It also makes possible the «redemption» and the balancing of all human thoughts tempted by false absolutes. It points to the nature of the challenge to be taken up by Christian thought faced with the crisis of modernity. This challenge consists in restoring subjectivity in its creatural status (in itself and in relationship with reality) and in rediscovering God in his transcendence, in his creative and redemptive liberty, and in trinitarian rhythms considered as the ultimate foundation of the rhythms of analogy.
