The Cardinal recalls the various stages of the creation of the Paris Seminary and of its Studium. In 1984 the «spiritual year» was instituted, after which (1985-1995) was founded the school of theology. «Reading and studying the Scripture in communion of faith and with love for the Church is at the heart of the Studium of the Seminary.» The seminarians live on an urban campus, in separate houses successively created around the cathedral of Paris. «This model aims at finding a solution to the contradiction in which we presently find the pastoral formation to the priesthood.»
