The 15th chapter of 1 Cor. deals with the resurrection of the dead in close relationship to Christ's resurrection. However, considering the verses where «God» is being mentioned (particularly in vv. 9, 10 and 15), one cannot ignore the fact that Paul underscores the importance of God the Father's involvement in this matter. This is what the A. proceeds to make more explicit, first through an overview of the chapter, than by showing how the mentions of God fit into the structure of the text and into the lexical characteristics of the phrases where they appear. This inquiry proves to be quite relevant in this «year of the Father».
