We have to benefit from the original approach of the early Church Fathers (from Irenaeus and Justin to Augustine and Gregory the Great). The present article helps us to understand how, in their words and writing, are linked a passion for the Revelation of God in Jesus Christ, an option for its rational search and expression, and finally a real-life relation to History, as the place where God reveals and announces himself to all of us.
