Israël et l’Église dans le dessein de Dieu
« Pour que les deux marchent ensemble » (Am 3,3)
Jean Radermakers s.j. Jean-Marie Lustiger Jean-Pierre Sonnet s.j. Michel Remaud f.m.i. Pierre d'Ornellas (Mgr) Antoine Guggenheim Albert Chapelle s.j. Alban Massie s.j. Thérèse-Martine Andrevon Alexis Leproux« Will two walk together without having agreed to meet? », asks the prophet Amos (Am 3:3). Will the Church and the Jewish people answer this question?
Starting from the Bible, the faith of the Church, and its history, the authors ask: what does it mean for Christians that Jesus was born a Jew? What remains of the bond with Israel, the people of the Covenant? What can an “intra-family” theology (Pope Francis) bring while violence endures in the Holy Land?
Inspired by the declaration Nostra aetate of the Second Vatican Council, this Cahier of the NRT (with an unpublished text) invites readers to better understand how Christians and Jews can meet today in respect and fidelity to God.
